Lucy’s journey from Store to Franchise Partner
Lucy Harman’s journey with Domino’s shows what’s possible when ambition meets opportunity. Starting at 16 in her local Kent store, Lucy spent evenings answering phones and making pizzas. Her commitment saw her progress to shift manager, then store manager – learning, growing and loving the pace along the way. In June, Lucy took her biggest step yet: becoming a franchisee and opening her first store in Hayling Island, Hampshire. “My family and I love the coast, so Hayling Island was the perfect choice. To run a store in such a beautiful spot is a dream come true – and part of an amazing journey that began with me on the phones in Whitstable!” Lucy’s story proves that with the right support and opportunities, you can build a career that works for you. Kirat’s Milestone Moment
In 2021, Kirat Toor opened the first Homegrown Heroes store in Whittlesey – a milestone that marked a new chapter in his 24-year Domino’s career. From starting out in store to becoming a Franchise Partner, Kirat’s journey shows what’s possible when ambition meets opportunity.
“I was thrilled to join the Homegrown Heroes programme and, within 18 months, open my first store in Whittlesey. Becoming the first Homegrown Hero and new Domino’s franchisee in over 15 years was an incredible moment. After 24 years with Domino’s, having the chance to run my own store was something I’d worked towards for a long time. It wouldn’t have been possible without the support from the Domino’s Pizza Group team, the franchise partner network and my fantastic in store team.”

Peter’s Slice of Success
Peter’s story is all about dedication and growth. After more than 31 years with Domino’s, he became a Franchise Partner – a milestone built on decades of experience. Starting in store, Peter worked his way up to Store Manager within two years, then progressed into senior roles including Store Specialist and Area Manager.
“Thank you to the Domino’s Pizza Group team for giving me the tools, training and support on my Homegrown Heroes journey. After working within an existing franchise partner business, the programme helped me grab a slice of the action for myself, opening my first store in Cheadle. I’ve got a fantastic team in place – and having my son working part-time alongside me makes it even more special.”
