We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Shift Manager to join our team in Bridgwater. This pivotal role within our Catering & Hospitality division is essential to the ongoing success of our DPSW operations. As a Shift Manager, you will be at the heart of our service delivery, ensuring smooth day-to-day running of the shift while upholding the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and motivate the team during your shift to deliver excellent customer service.
  • Manage staff rotas, ensuring appropriate cover and compliance with labour regulations.
  • Oversee food preparation and presentation, maintaining hygiene and safety standards.
  • Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management to minimise waste.
  • Handle customer enquiries and resolve any issues promptly and professionally.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Support training and development of team members to enhance performance and skills.
  • Report shift performance and any incidents to senior management.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Previous experience in a supervisory or management role within the Catering & Hospitality sector.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good organisational and time management abilities.
  • Knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards, and health & safety legislation.
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
